Watercolours – Peter Blodau

Cities have always fascinated me – getting out into them with my sketchbook or large sheet of paper and sitting down amongst the people and traffic. The chaos of the urban scene is something I find very stimulating. I try to merge into the scene, observing the goings on over a period of time something which drawing directly on location is very suited to. In the work, I try to capture the general feel of the place the changing light, the architecture and the activities of the people going about their business.
